Round barrow on the southern edge of Sopley Common
Round barrow on the southern edge of Sopley Common
This round barrow is on the ridge at the southern edge of Sopley Common, where it meets Ramsdown Plantation. It has been surrounded by this wooden rail fence, presumably to protect the ancient monument. It has a piece of iron girder protruding from the top of its mound, visible towards the right behind the silver birch sapling.
