The hall is situated in a side road off the A708 Selkirk to Moffat road and has recently been upgraded with the aid of grants totalling £52000 and £7000 raised by the hall committee. The building has been reclad with self-coloured box-profiled sheeting so that repainting will not be required in future. (Source: local newspaper The Southern Reporter). The hall is on the edge of the square but was photographed from just outside the square.
