SN0331 : Upper reaches of the Pontfaen valley

taken 10 years ago, near to Pontfaen, Pembrokeshire/Sir Benfro, Great Britain

Upper reaches of the Pontfaen valley
Upper reaches of the Pontfaen valley
This view, taken (I admit it!) from the vantage point of the little weekly bus that travels this sparsely populated route, shows, behind the frisky Welsh Black cattle, the remains of the conifer plantation on Waun Welew (pale moor). The Pontfaen brook rises slightly to the east of here and makes its way through the trees towards its confluence with the Afon Gwaun further west. The peak seen on the right is Cerrig Lladron.
