SD9419 : Eastern end of the Summit Level

taken 12 years ago, near to Warland, Calderdale, Great Britain

Eastern end of the Summit Level
Eastern end of the Summit Level
The start of the long descent into West Yorkshire for the Rochdale Canal.
For a view in the opposite direction, and confirmation that the fir tree is still there! - see SD9419 : Summit Level of the Rochdale Canal
Also, although I know this is geographically the 'Northern' end of the Summit Level, I think of the Rochdale as an 'East/West' canal, hence Eastern end.
