The Howmore River and the major hills of South Uist
Beinn Mhor, Hecla and Beinn Corrodale are the highest hills in South Uist and dominate views across the fertile coastal strip. Close to here the Howmore River is crossed by a bridge on the Machair Way - a long distance footpath along the unspoilt coast.
