taken 8 years ago, near to Godmanchester, Cambridgeshire, England

St Mary, Godmanchester - tower
St Mary, Godmanchester - tower
This is the north-western elevation of the tower. It was built in part out of materials from the C13 tower which had stood elsewhere in the church. Although the present tower looks as though it was of the Perpendicular period (c1335-c1550), it was constructed in 1623.
