Dispersal Bay
Dispersal Bay
The most prominent remains of the wartime airfield, RAF Harrowbeer, are these dispersal bays around the edge of the airfield. It was standard practice to disperse aircraft around the field in these bays in order to minimise the destruction in the event of an air raid.
