Lesser Black-backed Gulls above Tarnbrook Fell
Lesser Black-backed Gulls above Tarnbrook Fell
Walking over the fell you are accompanied by the calling of these Black-backed Gulls (Larus fuscus). This area is an important breeding colony (around 10% of the western European population) and they are inclined to 'dive-bomb' you if it's felt you're getting too close.
