SZ3389 : Shore at Round Tower Point

taken 10 years ago, near to Norton, Isle of Wight, Great Britain

Shore at Round Tower Point
Shore at Round Tower Point
This is the shore at Round Tower Point, exposed by the low tide. Amongst the rocks and clayey sand are what look like large cast iron pipes. The building in the distance is Fort Albert at Cliff End. This must be the closest point to the mainland, the tip of Hurst Spit about a kilometre to the north-west.
