Footbridge over a tributary of the Folly Brook
The Folly Brook rises at the foot of Highwood Hill to the west of here. The stream emerges from a small pool beneath some oak and ash trees, flowing eastwards as a clear and fresh stream. After two and a half miles it flows into the Dollis Brook at Woodside Park. The Folly Brook is located in a very noticeable valley with Totteridge Common to the north and Mill Hill to the south. Half way along its course it flows in and out of Darland's Lake.
This tiny tributary, which is often dry, flows down from Totteridge Common to enter Darland's Lake on its north side. A footpath follows the stream up from Darland's Lake to this point where it meets the footpath ahead, coming from opposite Totteridge Church (to the right of here) to the Folly Brook, Folly Farm and The Ridgeway at Mill Hill (to the left).
