Beach fishing, Stanswood Bay
Beach fishing, Stanswood Bay
The sea-anglers setting up on the beach had to retreat as the tide came in - it reaches the strip of exposed sand. They caught nothing but seaweed in the shallow waters off the beach, and gave up by lunchtime. The trees in the foreground are growing on the muddy cliff - they are holm oak, which can withstand the salty conditions next to the sea.
