Stretton Aqueduct
Stretton Aqueduct
Approaching Stretton Aqueduct, which carries the Shropshire Union Canal over the A5, from the south. The cast iron aqueduct was designed by Thomas Telford and built in 1832. Canals typically narrow to a single boat width when passing structures like this, requiring a degree of concentration on the part of the driver.
