100 Ton Steam Crane, Alexandra Dock
This fixed-jib steam crane was built by James Taylor & Co. of Birkenhead for the Hull & Barnsley Railway Company in 1886, the year that the company opened the Alexandra Dock. Last used in the early 1980's, it is now a "listed building".
