Western end of Llangollen Steam Railway at Carrog
This is the current western limit of the Llangollen Railway and is used to provide a run-round for locomotives. Before closure by British Railways, the line ran on to Bala and joined with the Cambrian coast line at Barmouth Junction (now Morfa Mawddach). The current company has plans to extend from Carrog to Corwen, about two and a half miles away. This is estimated to be a five year project.
