SN1637 : Llanfair Nant Gwyn church of St Mary

taken 10 years ago, near to Llanfair-Nant-Gwyn, Pembrokeshire/Sir Benfro, Great Britain

Llanfair Nant Gwyn church of St Mary
Llanfair Nant Gwyn church of St Mary
Looking east from the road through a screen of rosebay willowherb. There is no village here, but the church stands at the entrance to a gentry house, Pantyderi, once the home of the Bowen family.
It has been suggested that the name Nant Gwyn/white brook comes from the amount of quartz stone on the surface of the ground in the area.
