Ruined house at Riccarton Junction
Ruined house at Riccarton Junction
This is the ruined remains of the station master's house at Riccarton Junction. Riccarton Junction was a railway village and station in a remote location on the former North British Railway Line, known as the Waverley Route, that was closed in 1969. At one time there was a population of about 120 with a school, schoolmaster's house, a small post office and shop.
