taken 7 years ago, near to Whaw, North Yorkshire, England

Old Limestone Quarry
Old Limestone Quarry
Appearing out of the gloom, next to the bridleway that links Little Punchard Head to Whaw Edge, was this low man made scrape in the earth. It is described as disused on the 1854 OS Map so must be 18thC.
