Pumping station built into sea wall, Lyme Regis
Pumping station built into sea wall, Lyme Regis
Foul water and rain water run though pipes to this hollow section of sea wall. Normally the water is pumped up to a treatment plant at Uplyme. In times of heavy rainfall water is stored within the structure. The two vans in the photo belong to South West Water who run this scheme.
