SN2232 : 'Column' - but not?

taken 11 years ago, near to Tegryn, Pembrokeshire/Sir Benfro, Great Britain

'Column' - but not?
'Column' - but not?
Many of the C19 gravestones behind Llwynyrhrwrdd chapel (see SN2232 : Llwynyrhwrdd Independent chapel)have, like this one, the word 'colofn', meaning column or pillar, at the top, others have the words 'maen' or 'beddfaen', meaning stone or gravestone. Yet all are of very similar size and design.
I haven't come across this before and have no idea why it occurs here. If anyone can throw any light on it I would be very interested.
