SH8336 : Hillside above the Pistyll Gwyn

taken 7 years ago, 5 km NW of Parc, Gwynedd, Wales

Hillside above the Pistyll Gwyn
Hillside above the Pistyll Gwyn
Fairly easy ground, below Carreg y Diocyn, but with a couple of deeply-incised streams to cross on the way up. The pile of stones in the foreground very much resembles an implausibly-small highland shieling, a temporary (summer) habitation for shepherding. The 'Coflein' website describes it as a possible goose-pen at LinkExternal link
