Boundary stone on The Ridge, Busketts Wood, New Forest
This boundary stone is found in a glade on the appropriately named "The Ridge" within Busketts Wood. The present day wood is very much an "Ancient and Ornamental Woodland" with its oaks and beeches, some fallen and decaying. Terry Heathcote, in his Discovering the New Forest, considers it a place where it is "...easy to imagine the Forest of a thousand years ago".
