SE2028 : Furnace Lane

taken 10 years ago, near to Birkenshaw, Kirklees, Great Britain

Furnace Lane
Furnace Lane
The name is a reminder that the lane led to the Birkenshaw Foundry, which operated from c.1782 to 1815. The only trace of it now is the 'navigation bank' (see other photographs).
