Norbury Junction
Norbury Junction
This was once the start of the Newport canal branch; it nows runs for about 100 yards before reaching a dry dock. The canal was closed in 1944 by Act of Parliament, having been effectively disused since the 1920s; it has largely been filled in except for a stretch through Newport which has been restored.
