Milborne St. Andrew: Weatherby Castle obelisk
This folly was built by Edmund Morton Pleydell atop an Iron Age hillfort in 1761, when it would have been clearly visible from Milborne House, his home, before the hill was overgrown with trees as it is now. In 1990 £2,000 was raised to stabilise it, after it had deteriorated over the years.
