Lynchat
Lynchat
The hamlet of Lynchat is situated on the old A9 road. The modern A9 bypasses it to the north. Lynchat, along with its neighbours, Newtonmore and Insh, was apparently established in the early 19th century to accommodate soldiers returning from the Napoleonic Wars.
