King George's Field
King George's Field
Looking west towards the pavilion on the King George V Playing Fields off Boothferry Road, north of Hessle. This is one of a few hundred such playing fields set up across the country between 1937 and the 1960s in lieu of the usual statues to commemorate the king. More detailed information on King George's Fields can be found on Wikipedia. LinkExternal link
