NO5714 : Hillhead or Pitmilly Mill

near to Boarhills, Fife, Great Britain

Hillhead or Pitmilly Mill
Hillhead or Pitmilly Mill
This section of the Fife coastal path is in total contrast to the sections on either side.

Here the path turns away from the sea and enters the small, dark, and wooded ravine of the Kenly Burn.

Hillhead Mill by mouth of the Pitmilly burn was a grist mill and is one of two mills in the area both were confusingly called Pitmilly Mill at times.

The other Pitmilly Mill further up the Kenly Water was also at times called Crail Mill.
