Summit shelter on Garn Gron
Summit shelter on Garn Gron
This area is strewn with cairns and ring shelters. I suspect the shelters originate from medieval times, when drovers would drive cattle across the Elenydd to markets in Powys or England. The area is also known for prehistoric sites, although these are typically earth walls and other overgrown structures.
