taken 10 years ago, 5 km from Pant Mawr, Powys, Great Britain

Shaft end of a wind turbine rotor blade
Shaft end of a wind turbine rotor blade
The end of a turbine blade that is nearest the generator in normal operation. The pins around the edge are probably used to adjust the angle of the blade with respect to the wind and therefore its effective area.
