SE0420 : Milepost 31

taken 11 years ago, near to Mill Bank, Calderdale, Great Britain

Milepost 31
Milepost 31
On the disused railway branch line to Ripponden and Rishworth. The track is densely overgrown to the south but a permissive path allows access northwards.

The method of numbering mileposts employed by the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway means that the "31" refers to the distance from their Manchester terminus, rather than from the start of the branch.
