SN7375 : Wind Gap between the Rheidol and the Ystwyth

near to Devil's Bridge, Ceredigion/Sir Ceredigion, Great Britain

Wind Gap between the Rheidol and the Ystwyth.
Wind Gap between the Rheidol and the Ystwyth.
Taken from the north-west of the square looking east-southeast, this shows the line of the Ystwyth as it would have been prior to the capture of its headwaters by the Rheidol at Devil's Bridge. The vegetation indicates its marshy nature. If the theory of multiple capture is correct then this has similarities to the Bog of Tregaron.
