Longridge 2nd railway station (site), Lothian
Opened in 1850 by the Edinburgh & Glasgow Railway on their line from Morningside to Bathgate, this short lived station replaced a terminus station a few metres further south (see
NS9561 : Longridge 1st railway station (site), Lothian), but itself only lasted 2 years, closing in 1852. The line had been built mainly for mineral traffic.
View north east towards Bent and Bathgate. A short platform would have been to the left of the line, which ran towards the conifer in the distance. No trace of either station apparently remains.
