Bangor traditionally hosts a fireworks display as part of the "Christmas lights switch on" event each November. After being held at the town hall for many years, in 2015 it returned to the seafront and the fireworks were launched from the sea J5082 : Fireworks, Bangor. In 2016 this was repeated, with some additional fireworks launched from the end of the Eisenhower Pier - this is the view from the Seacliff Road across the 'Long Hole' and out into Bangor Bay.
