SP9213 : Approaching Marsworth Reservoir from the South

taken 7 years ago, near to New Mill, Hertfordshire, England

Approaching Marsworth Reservoir from the South
Approaching Marsworth Reservoir from the South
The approach is through woodland which bridges the pathway until the outflow is reached (indicated by the wooden fencing). The path continues along the dam that separated Startops and Marsworth Reservoirs.
The nearest part of the reservoir has a large reed bed, a small corner of which can be seen here. On the far side of the reservoir is the Grand Union Canal, and behind the hill in the distance is the College Lake Nature Reserve.
(At the time I took the picture I did not notice the robin on top of one of the fence posts.)
