Horse & Hound magazine (issued dated 23 Oct 2008) and their website
http://www.horseandhound.co.uk/news/397/270621.htmlare stirring up rumours that Geograph contributors are taking photographs of horses by trespassing on private land and then posting the photos on Geograph, inadvertently helping would-be horse thieves. There is a specific quote from the Horses Trust at Speen, which located is in this grid square. ASs far as I can see, Andrew Smith has used the public footpaths to get his shots. Perhaps he might like to defend himself?
I am a horse owner, but think the scaremongering story by H & H is nonsense, and am offended to see Geograph's good name and worthy intentions questioned.
