Borough: Welsh Congregational Chapel
Built between 1872 and 1873 to the design of the Reverend Thomas Thomas (1817-1888) of Swansea, the chapel is on the north side of Southwark Bridge Road. The Reverend Thomas was the most prolific of chapel architects being responsible for the design of almost 1,000 such buildings in Wales and England.

The inscription in the pediment of the building in the distance, on Great Guildford Street, reads
