ST2498 : New Footpath
near to Swffryd, Blaenau Gwent, Great Britain
New Footpath
The red car is on the A472 travelling from Hafodyrynys Eastwards towards Pontypool. The photograph is taken from the old road that runs parallel to the A 472 (towards Pontypool) from this point onwards. Not far behind the photographer is a large circular building which was the wash-house for a coal mine. There was some talk about turning it into a restaurant but there were problems. It is an interesting building and worth a look. The hillside beyond the road is Coetgae-hen.
