Train approaching Aberystwyth station
The 06:25 service from Shrewsbury which was to form the 08:30 departure back to Shrewsbury. However, a shortage of train conductors resulted in it being curtailed at Machynlleth with onward transportation by bus. Thankfully, it didn't affect my journey as I was only going to Dovey Junction on this service.
Arriva seem to be having continuing problems with staff shortages on the Cambrian lines at present. It does have one wonder about their competence, given that that they have applied to run the new Wales franchise, the current one being due to expire in 2018.
