SO9567 : Stoke Bottom Lock

taken 10 years ago, near to Stoke Wharf, Worcestershire, Great Britain

Stoke Bottom Lock
Stoke Bottom Lock
A boat emerges from Stoke Bottom Lock, the first of the Stoke Flight of six which raise the canal by 42 feet, to pass the boat hire yard at Stoke Wharf. There is little respite for boaters heading in this direction; the Stoke Flight is immediately followed by the 30 locks of the Tardebigge Flight.
