SE4226 : River Aire in flood at Castleford

taken 12 years ago, near to Castleford, Wakefield, Great Britain

River Aire in flood at Castleford.
River Aire in flood at Castleford.
The river is about 12ft above its normal level due to the downpours of June 2007. The weir has almost disappeared and Allinsons flour mill looks to be built in the water! The platform and crane were engaged in sinking foundations for a new footbridge.
