NZ8102 : Unexpected Junction

taken 7 years ago, near to Beck Hole, North Yorkshire, England

Unexpected Junction
Unexpected Junction
The line of the old railway passes on a cinder track to the left; an older line branched off here, beyond the wooden fence and then followed the far side of the Murk Esk. They rejoin again at the other side of the last bridge. It can only have been in use when the line was used by horses due to its narrowness.
