St Ninian's Chapel
The ruined chapel in the distance is dedicated to Saint Ninian who first brought Christianity to Scotland, landing near here in 397AD. In the foreground is a memorial seat erected by the Freemasons in memory of the crew of the Solway Harvester which sank off the coast of the Isle Of Man on the 11th of January 2000 with loss of all hands, all the young men were local to here, Whithorn and Garlieston.
