The agricultural engineers were on site to sort out this round baler. The photo shows why.
In this baler, the straw (or hay, elsewhere TF9524 : Baled hay near "Conservation Walk") is wound round and round on itself, like a kind of fibrous snowball, until it reaches full size, when the baler stops, wraps the round bale and deposits it. Here the wrapping process has failed; frustrating so late in the day (around 6.45 p.m.)
