NJ4749 : Trig point, Balloch Hill

taken 10 years ago, near to Davoch of Grange, Moray, Great Britain

Trig point, Balloch Hill
Trig point, Balloch Hill
As is often the case, the triangulation station is not at the summit of the hill. That is an unmarked bit of moorland south west of the pillar.
As usual on quartzite the soil is thin and the rock soon exposed by walking on the heather.
