The New Perry aqueduct on the Montgomery Canal
The replacement of the Perry aqueduct was a very important landmark in the refurbishment of the Montgomery canal as it was the failure of the Perry aqueduct that was the final blow that caused the closure of the canal. The aqueduct is a channel between two welded steel box beams sitting on brick faced concrete abutments.
