Eclipsed by the moon at sundown - The Little Egret
This "immigrant" is steadily spreading northwards in western Europe. His sparkling white plumage is easy to spot and you'll find him wading in ditches or muddy creeks feeding on small fish, frogs, snails and other wetland animals. Here he has been found perched high above a ditch by a museum near Redditch at sundown.
