SN7617 : Abandoned Quarry

taken 17 years ago, near to Carnfadog [antiquity (non-Roman)], Carmarthenshire, Great Britain

Abandoned Quarry
Abandoned Quarry
One of many small quarries on the Black Mountain. This is one of the furthest found along the course of a tramway that can still be clearly seen on the ground.

In the distance, a three pronged exit to the quarry can just about be seen (none in the direction of the tramway) - I can't work out what this was for.
