Lost line
Lost line
It seems incredible that a railway line once ran here. Although deep in woods and undergrowth it is still possible to identify the course of the raised track, and a pair of gates still stand that allowed access across, now simply for a bridleway. The Whitland to Cardigan railway line closed in 1963 having been in use one decade short of a century.
