Green Lane, Derby
Trinity Baptist Church dates from 1879, and beyond it, the Grade II-listed former Municipal Technical College - in pink granite from Matlock, Derbyshire - dating from 1876. It is in Gothic style and was designed by F.W. Waller of Waller & Son of Gloucester. Later it became The Derby College of Art, even housing "The Metro" art house cinema from 1981-2006. The building stood empty and unused until it was re-opened in December 2012 as a theatre rehearsal space for Derby Theatre. Its current use is not advertised on any on-site noticeboards, although 'temporary' sign on its front door announces that the premises are a University of Derby annexe.
