NT1473 : Spitfire

taken 11 years ago, near to Ingliston, Edinburgh, Great Britain

This aircraft will be familiar to all who visit Edinburgh Airport. Not sure what the aircraft actually is, since Spitfire Mk Ia ‘XT-D' (L1067) ‘Blue Peter' of No 603 Squadron was the personal aircraft of 603 [City of Edinburgh] Squadron Commander, Squadron Leader George Denholm DFC, who baled out of it on the 30th of August 1940 over Snargate, Kent after combat with a Bf 110.
